Last updated 6 years ago

Saddleback Memorial has been named as the first and only Robotic Training Epicenter for gynecologic surgery in Orange County. We are one of only 23 Epicenters in the nation as well as only one of three Epicenters on the West Coast.

With robotic surgery leading the way as one of the most important breakthroughs in women’s surgery, having access to the best team possible is more important than ever.

About the Epicenter and Robotic Assisted Surgery

The Epicenter team is led by Dr. Marc Winter, M.D., who has extensive experience with the da Vinci® Si Surgical System (da Vinci). The da Vinci system gives patients a multitude of benefits including:

  • Less post-operative pain
  • Reduced trauma to the body
  • Less scarring
  • Shorter hospital stays
  • Reduced blood loss and need for transfusions
  • Quicker recovery and return to normal activities

With 1-2 cm incisions, a wide array of gynecologic surgery procedures can be completed through the use of da Vinci Si. This technology, combined with the best doctors in Orange County, means that you’re in the right hands and on your way to a speedy recovery.

Saddleback Memorial Medical Center is dedicated to providing the best care possible. Being named one of only 23 Epicenters for robotic gynecologic surgery training proves that we are doing it right.
